COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT
Anna Ford works with nature NGOs, climate foundations and universities to illuminate science and to amplify the voices of those tackling the climate and biodiversity crises.
She is the comms lead at Knepp Rewilding and a consultant to Sussex Bay, which is a community-rooted movement unlocking funding to speed the recovery of Sussex’s seascape and waterways.
Anna loves bringing science to life. She led the media and social team at the University of Sussex, captained media relations at LSE’s climate change institute, Grantham, and helped the Royal Society of Medicine to redefine its communications strategy.
But first, Anna spent about a decade forging her comms acumen in the firepits of government press offices, where she became Keir Starmer’s lead press officer.
Her 18 year career has seen her create media cut-through for experts amid the bun-fight of two climate COPs; provide media analysis for the Labour Party’s 2024 election campaign; lead press tours of quantum computing labs; manage press packs at the Old Bailey; join a press trip 100m below ground to the Large Hadron Collider and… tread the halls (and stroke the cat) of 10 Downing Street.
Her favourite thing in nature is… blackberry season.

Dan Ford leads videography and presentation coaching at Curiosity. His work includes helping researchers, scientists and experts at leading universities to explain their research with engagement and panache, both on film and on stage.
In his former career as an actor, Dan’s performances included: treading the boards in the West End, intimate storytelling in yurts, immersive theatre in royal palaces and, one time, monologuing in the back of a Volvo Estate.
He then spent a decade as a lecturer at universities and drama schools, where his students went on to perform for the likes of the RSC and the BBC. Dan also runs StoryScreen, the home of person-first storytelling video and coaching.
His favourite thing in nature is… a giraffe.
